Totally Magnetized, "Pippi. 2016 Gold Champagne blanketed Appaloosa mare.

Straws Mighty Magnum x Totally Conspicuous (maternal sister to The Hunter). This mare is broke and does everything...and with a youth doing all of the work. She is well accomplished in the show ring having earned her Open ApHC Champion, Youth ApHC Champion, and Youth ApHC Versatility Champion. She and Katy were also ApHC 12 and Under Versatility Year End Champions in 2023. Pippi has numerous Open and Youth ROMs, 30 Open Performance Points, 25.5 Open Halter, 2.5 Non Pro (just a hunter in hand class with me for fun), and 185 Youth points. Too many Year End Top Tens in the Nation and regionally to even list. She has also shown 4-H with Katy. She quietly and willingly trail rides - alone or with a group. She will go western, English, or bareback. Pippi will trail and work cattle, and also rope and drag calves to the branding fire. Goes through water, mud, etc. She is quiet and likes to work and think. She is broke and a go-to horse here. She ties, bathes, trailers, and clips. She typically needs a twitch to really shave her ears, but quietly stands for everything else. She will sometimes get anxious at a show, but we put her on Gut X beforehand and occasionally Gastro Elm and that seems to solve the issue. She is kept up with massage/chiropractor as needed and vet and farrier work. She does get uncomfortable with her rear legs for the farrier...which leads to why we have made the decision to offer her for sale. Katy was working Pippi pretty hard this spring, hoping to earn her ROM in Youth Reining as part of one of the final pieces to earn Pippi's ApHC Youth Versatility Champion. There was quite a bit of grumpiness and discomfort signs coming from Pippi after a lot of loping/hard work a couple days in a row. Pippi has a cyst and some fluid in her stifle. She's been sound all along, but after a lot of work, she gets uncomfortable. It is in Pippi's best interest to have a lighter workload than we are able to give her. Unfortunately, I can't afford to haul multiple horses to a show for each kid, we have a lot of young horses coming up, and no longer any walk/trot riders. The vet feels she will be just fine as walk/trot horse, light showing as a w/t/l horse (just no games/high impact/jumping without more maintenance) or continue on as a handy ranch horse. I am willing to release the information on her stifles to serious parties. She does have bumps and blemishes...she was a very accident prone baby.... thankfully she outgrew that! Pippi (like the rest of our horses)spends most of her time out on pasture and maintains well. She is middle of the pack, and will stand her ground when she needs to.

So, after a lot of thought and tears, Katy has made the decision to offer Pippi for sale. Pippi will continue to be worked around home and on the ranch until sold.
