2021 USA Guild F40 Traditional jumbo acoustic guitar in natural finish with hardcase and several extras. This is a tremendous sounding guitar, with a big, bold, and balanced voice. Equally great for flat picking, strumming, and finger style techniques. Sitka spruce top and scalloped adirondack spruce top bracing, with mahogany back and sides. Full but comfortable neck radius. Traditional 1 11/16 nut width. Frets are in excellent condition with no sharp ends.Purchased brand new in 2021, there are a few mods that Ive had done by my local luthier. Modifications/upgrades include swapping out the factory tuning machines to Graphtech Ratios, and they hold tune wonderfully. I also had the bridge reamed out to accept Graphtech bridge pins, which I think are much nicer than what came on the guitar, and they fit low and snug in the bridge plate. String slots were also cut into the bridge for a better break angle with the saddle, and the intonation is excellent. The guitar was also fitted with electronics for a while, and so the end pin has been reamed out to 1/2 to accept an end pin jack, and now accomodates LR Baggs, Fishman, and other pickups that require a 1/2 hole for end pin jacks. Full disclosure - this guitar does not come with a pickup system. And finally, a strap button was added at the neck heel for attaching a strap. This guitar has been kept in a climate/humidity controlled and smoke free home, and has been well taken care of, but Ive played it a lot, and so there is general wear from playing. There is a very light lacquer check between the soundhole and fretboard - approximately 1 long, and hard to see unless youre looking for it. Also, there are light depressions on the bridge viewable in the pics from when my luthier reamed the bridge pin holes. Again - they are hard to see, but they are there in the right light. There is a small indent in the lower right part of the bridge that has been there ever since I bought it, but the guitar sounds so good that I didnt care to return it. It affects absolutely nothing. There is also some light bubbling around the washers of the tuning machines. I asked my luthier about it, and he said he may have snugged up the nuts a bit much when he installed the new tuning machines. I simply loosened them up a bit, and nothing has ever happened to the headstock finish. Again - you have to hold the guitar in the right light to see the bubbling around the tuning machines. Other than that, maybe some light hazing on the upper bout from where my arm rested while playing. Guitar polish/cleaner has taken the majority of it off, but I believe having it buffed and polished would get the rest of the hazing off.The guitar comes with 4 other saddles of different heights that are either bone or Tusq, as well as a new in the package Graphtech saddle. Also included is a Fishman head stock tuner, a Guild capo, and the original tuning machines that came on the guitar from Guild. The Guild hardshell case with humidifier sponge is included, as is the factory Guild shipping box. This guitar sells for $2,799 brand new.Located in Minot - you pick up. Cash or Venmo accepted.
