1978 BMW R100/7 with Ural sidecar

1979 Ural sidecar.

Bmw runs and rides good. 98,000 miles. Has Dyna electronic ignition. Recent rear main seal and clutch with spline lube.

I attached the Ural sidecar several years ago with a custom subframe. Added cable brake to sidecar with separate pedal adjacent to rear bike pedal. Works well and adds much needed braking power to the BMW. Set up to drive straight at about 65mph with windshield up and a passenger. Pulls a little left (too much lean out) with the sidecar empty. Fairly light steering with no trail modifications. (R100/7 trail = 3.75") Sidecar removes and reattaches easily with no adjustments needed.

There are a few little items that could be improved, such as:

It has a couple small oil leaks. Engine pushrod tube seep, oil drain plug always wants to leak. Driveshaft housing leaks. It has progressive rear shocks that are leaking.
