For sale: Rare 1971 Jeep CJ5 half-cab. 4-cylinder engine was rebuilt a few years ago and runs well. Transmission is a 3-speed manual with a Dana 27 front axle and a Dana 44 rear axle. Shifts well and 4x4 works like it should. 31" Cooper tires are new. Floor was professionally replaced. No rust. Paint is decent. Top and doors are removable. Also has new seats, gas tank and shocks.
Overall, it is a really nice 53-year-old Jeep! Would be a great farm, ranch or hunting rig. Way cooler than a side-by-side!
These early CJ5s with half-cabs are rare, especially in this condition as 1971 was the last year of the little CJ5s. In 1972, they lengthened and widened the wheelbase and lengthened the engine compartment into the "big nose" CJs.
