Meet Apollo! Fresian x saddlebred (Georgian grande) gelding. He just turned 3 year old (October baby) . Approximately 14.2 but still has some more growing. He is one of the friendliest horses I've met. First to greet. He lounges, has been started long lining and we are working on patience while being tied. He sees the halter at least once a day so is handled frequently. Naturally curious. He is great at loading into the trailer. He is an all around fun horse to work with. I took X-rays of his knees last spring and he wasn't ready to start yet. He grew a ton since then and now looks like a horse instead of a gangly colt. My plan was to send him to a trainer in the spring pending new X-rays. He had teeth floated (and wolf teeth pulled)/sheath cleaned this fall. Utd on vaccines, coggins, farrier work. Easy keeper on hay and a ration balancer.

He was supposed to be my trail horse and dressage prospect but our needs have changed. We moved onto our own property and my daughter likes to have someone to ride with her. Although I think the world of Apollo and he was my dream horse, it will be awhile before I could trust him with my husband or daughter.

As such we are also looking for a horse (or my husband would really like a mule) that is husband/kid safe, could be used for fun days/open shows (not looking for first place, but safe), trail riding, kids to mess around on. More whoa than go. Some maintenance is ok but must be sound for an adult to ride. Geldings preferred. Registration not required.
