1985 Honda VF700c Magna, has electrical/electronic problems that I do not want to deal with. Carburetors rebuilt, engine ran great, brand new tires, one small dent in fuel tank.
Question that came in: Does bike run ?what kind of electrical problems?
Answer: The bike ran after a carburetor rebuild but only on two cylinders. I diagnosed it to a bad ECU, unfortunately you can't find many 40 year old ECU's on ebay that work so I ended up ordering a new one for around $500. I did all of the coil ohm and voltage checks and then plugged it in and started it up. Still running on 2 cylinders and the new ECU got hot fast. I give up, I'm tired of f#@&ing with it and I got a 1984 Goldwing to ride anyway. The Magna is a really nice bike with one small ding in the tank and brand new tires but fixing it is above my pay grade.
PS - Trade offers I might accept: Lever action rifles, revolvers, hollow body electric guitar.
